The International Accreditation Organization (IAO) is an internationally recognized, independent and private education accrediting body. It operates world-wide, granting educational accreditation only to higher educational institutions involved in education for working adults, both traditional and online, as well as professional and vocational institutes and secondary schools. Before IAO was formed there was a lack of a truly global online education accreditation body to accredit online education providers, especially for working adults despite the substantial expansion of this sector in recent years and its international bodies of students. The quality of their education provision is assessed through the IAO’s patented accreditation process. Accreditation is conferred by rigorously evaluating all applicant institutions, their individual schools and programs through the unique patented evaluation process based on the best global practices in working-adult education. This thorough examination of an applicant’s management, quality of education, processes and methods ensure all accredited institutions meet IAO’s global quality standards. For the benefit of working adults pursuing higher education the IAO further builds relationships with all accredited institutions to disseminate information on the current standards in global working-adult education.
